The X-Men face their worst crisis yet when an ancient mutant bent on erasing humankind frames one of the X-Men’s own in a public assassination attempt that leaves Professor Xavier infected with a biological weapon, paving the way for anti-mutant hysteria and the introduction of an army of mutant-hunting robots.
