Yep...it's time for school to start again. I'm going into this semester with mixed feelings, but I'm still optimistic. Though I believe I will do very well, I know it will take every bit of concentration and hard work to get it done.

Let's face it: I've piled my plate pretty high so far in 2010. Planning community summits across the state, booking speaking engagements, and building a non-profit organization from the ground up is no easy task when considering the realities of 18 hours of classes on top of extracurriculars such as Mock Trial, Phi Alpha Delta, and Kappa Alpha Psi. Just pray for my endurance and strength...lol Seriously though, pray for me!

The good thing about working hard is that it pays off in the end, and with all that I have in front of me, I look forward to all that is to come.

I truly hope and pray that everyone has a great semester and that we all learn, grow, and become better individuals as the year progresses.

I'll keep you updated as much as possible...God bless!

Well, this weekend has been a great one. UT Mock Trial did a great job at the MTSU invitational, with 2 teams ranked in the top 5 out of 65 teams (my team was 2nd place) and winning 5 of the 20 individual awards! Can't wait until the real season starts next semester.

Went to church today and had a great time visiting my church family. When you get older, you really appreciate coming back home. The famous Rev. James Thomas came for the second service and really instilled some great words of motivation and encouragement within me. For him to not be the kind to hand out free words of kindess, the fact that he said he was proud of me and can't wait to see me do great things in life definitely touched me. It was really I needed to hear to keep pushing...

Back at home, I spent time with my dad. As my family and I get older, the time I spend with them means more and more to me. We got in the kitchen and made a cake, talked, and I fixed his laptop for him. All the time spent with him made me think about how involved I want to be with my own children when I have them

Sidenote: I watched the season premiere of VH1's "Tough Love," and I came away impressed. This, in my opinion, is a reality show worth watching, especially for all females.

All in all, a great weekend and a great start to the week! Looking forward to being the best I can be in all apsects!
